My academic work inspires my creative endeavours.
I am an amateur photographer, being especially interested in abstract, monochrome, and landscape photography. Although I shoot mostly digitally now, I also occasionally enjoy analogue (film) photography.
I create botanical prints through the gel printing technique (hectography), inspired by the surrounding nature and the concepts of absence and impermanence.
Recently, I have developed my poetry, which is inspired by science and my own experience of doing interdisciplinary research in the STS (science and technology) arena. My debut poem, “Unwound“, was recently published in the December issue of Consilience Journal.
